FORMAT AND SCORING
The competition will be for amateur golfers of any nationality resident in the Philippines. Players can choose to play in any one of the three teams, regardless of their nationality. Each Team will include up to ten flights of four players in each flight with a total of up to 40 players for each team (for a maximum total of 120 players for the tournament). The Team with the lowest total aggregate net score of its top ten players will be declared the Winner of the Grand Tri-Continent Challenge Trophy. The net scores of individual players in the teams will be calculated using the Double Peoria SystemÂ
MULLIGANS
MULLIGANS can be used to substitute for a bad tee-off but may not be used when qualifying for the longest drive or closest to the pin competitions. If the player wishes to use his/her MULLIGANS, he/she should inform the flight leader (chosen by the members of the flight), who will then take custody of the used MULLIGAN. A maximum of two (2) MULLIGANS may be purchased (one for the front nine and one for the back nine holes). Unused MULLIGAN in the first nine holes, cannot be used in the next nine.
The National Golf Association of the Philippines (NGAP) will provide a rules official for any golf-related disputes or clarifications, and the official’s decisions will be final and non-appealable.
